The IMEI number of the device by referring to the receipt of the purchase and using this I have filed a complaint at the nearest police station. Technically it will be possible to track my mobile device once someone uses it to operate a SIM card, which is a Subscriber Identity Module. Once this happens, the service provider would get a notification and the subscriber information corresponding to the SIM card number can be used to trace the user. This can be done, however in most cases; false information is used to obtain the SIM which makes it impossible to trace the mobile phone user.
