In most of the situations we cannot avoid the night time driving. Also we cannot avoid driving in different weather conditions like rainy, cloudy or misty conditions. During these times a car or heavy vehicle can we run without headlamps or light bulbs? Not possible. So headlamps are much needed one for a vehicle movement. Automotive lighting is provided by various sizes and types of light bulbs. Usually bulb has one or two filaments. When electric current flows through a fine wire or filament in the bulb, the filament gets hot and emits visible light. The bulb may fit into a socket which forms part of a lamp. The most important for the drivers are headlamps. When switched on, they provide light ahead of the vehicle. Headlamps consist of reflector, filament and lens.
