Why do we fight? Is it even worth it? Joseph Stalin once said the death of a man is a tragedy; the death of millions is statistic. How did we become such savage creatures? War can be prevented in almost all situations, but sometimes some countries like to show their power by going to war and firing their best weapons to show the world their might. But these days we don’t fight wars, what we do is we randomly attack civilian locations because that’s where the enemy camps. They use their own people in an attempt to protect their lives. Terrorism is what I can call it at best, terrorists aren’t heroes, they are just ordinary people who during times of war prefer to live than fight and die.
In the early ages man used to wage wars to gain more land or show their dominance. These wars were different as they consisted of a face to ace attack using melee weapons. But thanks to the advancement of our weapons we now fight like cowards and in a way that result in large scale damage and destruction. Maybe we should stop and think about all this for a moment. Have the Americans achieved anything by attacking Iraq and Afghanistan? What about the Sri Lankan conflict? The major portion of the casualties is only civilians. Have we become such savage creatures that we kill unarmed people?
