Virtual reality, the unofficial word of 2007 was such a craze that almost every sentence of gamers contained this phrase. What is virtual reality? It’s a simulation that simulates a real life like situation. The idea behind virtual reality is to simulate an environment that you may never get to visit. These can include war battles or extreme sports and stuff like that. But virtual reality has found more use than we thought it would. Did you know that people learn to drive by using a virtual reality system that simulates an environment suitable for driving? Everything is in the form of computer generated graphics and the car is a stationary one. When the driver moves the wheel the system responds and updates the view accordingly.
Virtual reality has also found a major fan in the US military and other defense departments around the world. A flight simulator lets them train pilots without using aircraft thereby reducing costs. Virtual reality in the gaming market is more like using gamers as white lab rats to tests various systems. Once they test it here they upgrade it and sell it to the military or the air force.
