How would it be if you were in a novel or had someone dictate and control your entire life? Not like a parent, not like a spouse, but like an author who has no idea that you exists and is writing a book on you? Stranger than fiction is a movie that take time to get used to, the concept is new and I haven’t seen a movie with this kind of concept before. What must be noted over here is that the way the entire movie has been shot is really good and generates a lot of interest in the user even though the story becomes a bit dull at times. Michael Kirk is an IRS agent and does his job according to all the rules. But finally he falls in love with a girl who works at a bakery and also has this one secret where he can hear some woman’s voice dictate every waking moment of his life. It’s only in the end that he realizes what is actually happening and the climax actually makes you feel a bit sad even though it’s absurd. Despite the weird ending the entire movie makes you feel good and nice in the end. Stranger than fiction is really stranger than fiction for both the actors and the audience.
