BJP MP Mr. Ananth Kumar, who is the head of the parliamentary standing committee on finance, has decided to probe into the Satyam fraud. The biggest ever case of financial misappropriation in India is currently being investigated by the police. The standing committee headed by Mr. Ananth Kumar has called upon for a meeting of top officials of the finance ministry. This includes all department heads including chairman of central board of direct taxes, finance secretary and also the finance secretary. This meeting will be held in the parliament annex on Jan 28th where the Sebi and RBI chiefs will also be present. With the names of the chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh coming up in this fraud case, this has become a much more sensitive issue.
