There is a popular misconception that gamers are highly anti social people and that they don’t like to mingle with people. Unfortunately or fortunately this is wrong, gamers are social people but in a world of their own. They like to talk to gamers of their level or those who have similar interests. Gamers are very weird people, trust me, I used to be one. When I was a gamer freak I used to feel like talking to only other people who have played and finished the games that I had played. I found it tough to have a normal conversation with other normal people because I was oblivious to the world and what was happening around me. I would prefer to be in my room almost all day long and sit and play some games. Making friends wasn’t tough because I was playing an MMORPG and I met loads of people there who shared the same interests as me, it was really amazing. That felt like the real world at times.

Though this continued for a while I found out that though I knew about all my online friends a lot I had never seen them. A small incident later snapped me out of that world and brought me back. And I have been able to mingle well and become a very social person. The bottom line is that gamers are social people; they just prefer their online friends.
