You may have noticed that for the last few days I have been writing a lot about wars, this is due to the major crisis that’s going on in Sri Lanka. The government is currently engaged in a war with a terrorist organization that has been attacking the capital for the last 15 years or more. The government has finally taken a stance and decided to eradicate all presence of the terrorist organization know as the LTTE. The government has faced a lot of problems with an ethnic Tamil group which consists of a mix of native Tamils and others. This group has been attacking the city of Colombo and authorizing suicide attacks on the city. The number of civilians who have lost their lives due to this has been extremely large.


The army advanced to the most sensitive areas and managed to gain control. They also managed to reduce most of their bunkers to rubble thanks to bunker busting shells that they armed their tanks with. Now the problem is that the LTTE has been cornered in their last stronghold. Unfortunately there are a lot of civilians in the area and neither group is stopping the war, this has resulted in large scale killing of innocent Tamil people. And the world is remaining a mute witness to this horror and tragedy.
