After the UN uncovered the huge scandal he was prosecuted and held under house arrest. This is when rumors started making their rounds, some claimed that the Pakistani government was involved in all these sales and were trying to gain some excess money to go to war with India. However this nuclear proliferation is a serious crime and as they always say, the punishment should be fitting as the crime committed.

The amount of damage that A Q khan has caused by selling nuclear components and other secrets to terrorist states now gives them a clear edge and a dangerous weapon to use in times when nothing else will work. A Q khan has helped to spread a new form of terror, what remains to be seen is which all countries have managed to buy this technology. The government later released the nuclear scientist claiming that he was innocent.
