The greatest invention that has helped us after the wheel is the telephone. I know that this is a bit of exaggeration, but its true. The invention of the telephone has helped us in many ways. We all know that cars and other vehicles take us to places. But the telephone brings people closer to you. Sounds more like an ad jingle doesn’t it, but its true, the telephone has enabled us to call people who live thousands of miles away and have a perfect conversation. When Alexander graham bell invented the telephone, he dint know what it actually did. All he realized was that he could send waves through space. This enabled the invention of the radio which later on lead to invention of the telephone. The telephone has gone through many evolution stages and has become a sophisticated device. At the initial stages it could provide only sound, but thanks to modems and the advancement of the internet, we can use telephone lines to transmit any kind of data that we want to. it has also led to the invention of the cell phone which has literally become our lifeline. This is the greatness of the telephone, without this we would be nowhere.
