Surf, girls, dope and a massive house, what else can one ask for? Surfer dude is the movie about a surfer who is invited to participate in a reality show but refuses. The man behind the show needs him and goes to great lengths to get him. Matthew McCaughey plays the role of the surfer who is popularly known as ADD or Steve Addington. The movie shows him smoking a lot of dope, a shit load of dope that can make you trip for ages. He and his friends don’t give a damn about anything else other than surfing. This leads to major problems when the big shot running the reality programs blocks all his accounts and Addington is reduced to nothing but a broke surfer. To make things worse there aren’t any waves in the area where they live and this bums him out. He undergoes a torture of 60 days without any waves that he can ride. This drives him mad, he manages to go with a girl to Mexico to surf but finds that the same thing is happening there. Though he doesn’t get to surf, Addington gets to meet the love of his life and the story turns out the way you want it to. Quite an interesting movie though the fun element isn’t constant. All in all a good watch and can be classified as a time pass movie.
