Like I said in my previous post, disc brakes have been the greatest ever invention made in the brake section. This works on the principle of locking the brakes in a fraction of a second and making sure that the entire forward velocity is stopped. Unfortunately this can cause a total lack of control for the rider as there is a sudden change in the velocity of the bike. Despite these problems this system is the standard system that is installed on high speed bikes and cars. To solve the problem companies have introduced the ABS or assist braking system which makes sure that the car doesn’t skid when the brakes are applied. I have an idea for a brake system that can be used in places where the driver needs to stop gradually but cannot use any of the above mentioned brakes since the speed is to great for any system to work. A system that works on magnetism and that can be used in places where the entire vehicle moves at such a great speeds that conventional systems can’t be used. This system works on eddy currents and the fact that these eddy currents can cause an opposing force thereby stopping the vehicle gradually. When required the rider applies the brake, this completes the circuit and a magnet is activated using electricity on either side of the moving wheel. This cause the generation of eddy currents in the moving metal rim and causes it to slow down. This system can be used in super fast cars and bullet trains.
