What is communism? Communism is a state of governance that makes sure that all the property in the state belongs to the people and not to one particular individual. This way everyone is given a fair chance to earn wealth and the country develops and not one sector alone. Communism is the way to go when you want the country to grow quickly in a short span of time. But the problem is that sometimes one government official may misuse the power and then the entire system gets converted to a dictatorship form of government. This is why a close eye needs to be kept on such systems. There have been many countries that have adopted this form of governance and prospered to a great extent. The greatest communist country that every existed was USSR which has not split up and the major part is now Russia. The communist government helped the USSR to reach such great heights that it threatened to become the world leader in all possible fields, once a very backward country this was now a power to reckon with. The WW2 made sure that the entire world felt the power of Russia. Similarly china now the largest communist state has been growing at an amazing rate, it has become so large that they add half the electric capacity of china to its grid annually. Such a growth can only mean one thing, prosperity. But the major problem with communism is that the rights of the people are often trampled upon. This means that the growth of the country is at the expense of the freedom of the people. But when you think about it, it feels as if this is the system that can help to change the lives of millions of people who are living in backward and developing countries. Countries such as India may need to adopt such a system if it wants to prosper.
