Have you ever watched a movie that makes you feel both good and sad at the same time? A walk to remember is such a movie that instills both these feelings at the end of the movie. A sad love story of 2 people and how things unfold has been directed in a very novel way. The story is about a boy who is a brat and trouble maker. He gets reprimanded for an act of his and is told to work on the summer play with all the others whom he thinks aren’t worth having as friends. He finds out that the most boring and naive girl in school is also in the same play and he’s cast opposite to her. He finds out more and more about this girl whom at first he doesn’t like. But as time goes by he realizes that she is everything that he needs and stands up for her against his own friends. But the love story has a tragic history; the girl he likes is suffering from blood cancer and will not live for too long. Depressed by this fact the boy realizes that he has to do everything he can to make her last few days a beautiful journey to remember. He ends up doing all the things that she wanted to do before dying including getting married to her. The girl dies soon after their marriage, but this does not affect the boy because he feels happy that he has fulfilled all her wishes before she could go. This story is truly inspiring and goes to show that people can change and will do anything for other people.
