Cleaning has never been on my list of things to be done every month. I
really don't maintain a list meticulously; however I keep a mental
note of my surroundings. I have to mention here that I am allergic to
many irritants such as pollen, dust and even abrupt changes in
temperature. This is clinically called type 1 hypersensitivity
response. For those of you who are wondering what a type 1
hypersensitivity response is I promise I'll explain that in some of my
later posts. Today, I want to express my thoughts on the process of
cleaning and it's effect on me. Typically, one needs to use a dusting
brush to get rid of all those disgusting mothballs etc. This isn't
possible in my case as using a dusting brush displaces all the settled
dust which on entering my nasal track causes havoc.
An alternative that I have managed to find is a vacuum cleaner. This
electricity powered device comes in all shapes and sizes ranging from
those high powered industrial sized ones to the very minute USB
powered ones which can be used to clean the keyboard in a laptop or a
PC. The one I utilized is a pretty old yet very functional piece of
equipment. In my case it is my best bet against the dust particles.
