Sony one of the undisputed kings of the ultra-portable notebook has come out with another performance driven notebook, the Sony VAIO VGN-Z11WN/B 13.1in Notebook. The Z Series mainly targets those highly demanding users who require a highly portable machine that doesn't sacrifice on performance over a regular laptop and the Sony VAIO VGN-Z11WN/B 13.1 totally lives up to the reputation. This time Sony has implemented a 16:9 aspect based machines by aptly fitting the Z Series with sleek and a modern 13.1 inch displays. This is a very much welcomed feature. The VGN-Z11WN/B, which is being reviewed comes equipped with enhanced hard drive protection, a Trusted Platform Module and fingerprint reader for secure encryption and authentication and integrated HSDPA (mobile broadband). These high end and power packed models are equipped with Blu-ray drives and in the case of the top of the range configuration, a 128GB SSD. Finally, the Z Series comes under Sony's new 'VAIO by you' configuration service, which enables users to mix and match the components as they desire. The graphics is taken care of by an 256MB NVIDIA 9300M GS and also by a Intel GMA X4500M HD integrated graphics to provide users with a satisfying experience. We have a 250GB hard drive which is a part of all Sony notebooks. The most satisfying fact is the software bundle that’s made available to us which includes Roxio Easy Media Creator, windows movie maker, InterVideo DVD, photo shop, Picasa2, Skype, adobe reader, Google desktop, Google Talk, Google talk, and Microsoft Works.
