We now live in an age where fast transportation means a lot. It’s a way of going to a distant place in a very short period of time. Transportation speeds have increased greatly over the last few decades. We can now travel to distant places in a matter of hours instead of days like during the 19th century. One mode of transportation that has helped us to reach our destination really fast is aero planes. The first plane was designed by the Wright brothers over 100 years ago. Their first design was more of a glider than a plane. Their later versions came with a motor which propelled the plane. The wings were basically made of cloth and were suitable for low speed travel. The deigns were based on birds and how they flew in mid air. Scientist made better designs after the first plane was made. WW1 saw the advent of the propeller plane being used for war fare. Since then we haven’t stopped making the planes better. New designs and systems were tried out and the most feasible ones went into production. It was around this time when companies started making planes for transportation purposes. WW2 used propeller based planes but the Germans with their advanced technology managed to make jet planes which could fly 5 times as fast as the propeller based planes. Even now the jet planes are being used by the military while civilian air crafts are based on highly advanced design of the propeller based plane.
