Eating a well cooked tender steak is almost as great as having sex, or at least that’s how people describe it. There are 3 portions from a cow from which we can get the meat to make steaks. The first and most tender portion is the middle section while the other 2 parts are the front and back end of the cow which is not too tender. The tenderness of the steak is measured by the ease with which you can cut it. A normal steak contains tissues and ligaments that make them tough. But beating it well with a wooden hammer will increase the tenderness by breaking these tissue bonds. Beating it with a hammer is ineffective and tiresome. The myth busters who host an awesome show on discovery have come up with an innovative way to make steak tender. Believe it or not, they use explosives to make the steak tender. What they did was that they put the meat in covers and then into another vacuum cover and immersed it into a barrel of water. An explosive material is also measured and lowered into the bucket. Upon detonation the impact and shock wave created by the explosive is high enough to tear all the tissues and make the steak tender. They found this method after testing it in many different ways, they toiled till they perfected the method. The other methods that they tried were using a ballistic tunnel, a tumble dryer with ball bearings and a few other methods. Well at least now we know the easiest method to make tender steak.
