I've been playing this game for quite some time now and can admit that
I'm pretty much hooked on to it. Having playing it consistently I have
gained enough experience to write my own manual on the best ways to
play this game. I am currently developing my third town and have had
some very interesting experiences with this game. Initially I focused
on increasing my population which by itself is a gigantic task and I
shall elucidate it on some other post. Today, I have to share with you
my experience of a battle in this game. To begin with let me tell you
that I'm a very peaceful person, however once in a while I like to
venture out and try pillaging someone's town. This is a risk I love to
take.
My first hostile venture began with me sending out a troop of war
ships to barricade the port of my opponent in order to capture ant
incoming trade vessels and gain some much needed resources. This was a
very successful mission and urged me to attack the town with my entire
army. From the intelligence report that my spies managed to get, I had
a fairly good idea of my opponent's military powers. Unknown to me, my
opponent had identified my army and began recruiting and developing an
army of his own, this lead to a huge number of troops in his land.
Ignorant of this change, I didn't retreat and ended up with a
disappointing loss. In future I shall collect more up-to-date
information on my opponent before attacking him/her.
