Most of us, at sometime in our life have definitely felt the need to have an absolute alarm system that can be depended upon without any reservations. In my opinion such a system must consider all possible methods of entering a vehicle and provide measures to counter these methods. The modern vehicles come with many contraptions such as a music system, a key less entry option and many such features. These features that are soon becoming a standard attachment are proving to be less beneficial to the owner as these become the prime reason to commit the theft.
In vehicles such as a car, a bike or a truck, the most susceptible region is the door. Most thieves try to pry open the lock using fine copper wires or by using other similar means to achieve their goals. In order to counter this many manufacturers have incorporated a system in the lock that automatically locks the door and inactivates the engine when a foreign key is used to open the door more than thrice. Another system that is used by some manufacturers incorporates a small micro chip with the key. This microchip has a unique code that is recognized by the on board system in the vehicle. Once the code is identified and matched with the vehicle the vehicle can be activated and operated. This is a very dependent system as the code cannot be easily duplicated and therefore makes the possibility of using a duplicate system nil.
