After a year and more of guessing, SONY Corp. has finally announced the release of their most technologically enabled gaming device the PSP portable. The final design of this device would be a let down for many who were hoping for this latest device to match up to the fake ones predicted by most gaming enthusiasts. However like always SONY delivers most of what is expected of an upgrade.
The latest console comes unveiled at the Leipzig games convention looks pretty much like the PSP-200 however it comes with an even better glare resistant display with better contrast ratios and an inbuilt microphone too. This microphone was added to utilize the Skype Wi-fi service that was made available in the PSP after the firmware update of January 2008.
The display which is clearly the USP of this device draws more power than the previous model however SONY claims that its Japanese engineers have redesigned the rest of the components to optimize the power consumption. This seventh generation console is scheduled to be released in mid October throughout the world. The battery life that is projected for this device is a maximum of 6 hours for games and 5 hours for the movies. the gadget is an amazing thing that is sure to provide hours of entertainment.
